Well, our outreach went quite well. We were a group of four: Eric (our fearless leader from Germany), Helena (Germany), Valentina (Argentina) and myself.
We packed the little Polo full of stuff and putted down the road towards Frankfurt. God really blessed us so much during this trip. First was the church, they were so welcoming and generous. We stayed at a gorgeous house and after the first day we had three separate invitations for dinner! We actually bought too much food for ourselves.
We started out witnessing at a Fall Market. We performed the Lifehouse skit "Everything" and then did some street witnessing there and passed out flyers for the Church tent that they had set up. Germany is a very cold and hard place to witness to. And that showed up much on our first day. It was rather discouraging, but the Lord really encouraged us through prayer and by His Spirit.
Our plan was to mostly do street witnessing. We had a meeting with the principle of the local highschool to see if we could talk in an English class. We all thought it was a long shot, Germany is much more liberal than the US. To my surprise the Principle wanted us to come everyday of the week! We ended up going to about 15 classes with highschoolers. Mostly we went to English classes, we sang "Amazing Grace" in 3 Languages and then the two foreigners talked about our culture. Valentina shared about Argentina and that culture while I spoke about US culture. We also were able to tell them why we were here in Germany and talk about the Bible College. The principle also allowed us to give flyers to the classes for a Youth Service we had planned on Friday night.
God blessed that too as we had about 40 kids show up! Since we left the youth group has seen some growth and the church is very excited about what's been going on.
I don't have many pictures of the Serving part of the outreach, but here are some that I took!
Thank you guys for all your prayers, we really felt them. I know I was challenged a lot that week, we all were, but God really answered your prayers.
